Where We Deliver
We deliver across Durban and surrounding areas in KwaZulu-Natal. Because we work from a home kitchen, we don't publish a fixed delivery radius — message us your suburb on WhatsApp and we'll confirm straight away whether we can reach you.
If you're outside our usual area, we'll tell you honestly rather than take an order we can't fulfil. In some cases collection can be arranged instead.
Delivery Fees
Delivery is quoted per order, based on your suburb and the size of your order. There is no flat rate, because a single mix box across town and a 200-piece wedding order are very different jobs.
We'll always tell you the delivery cost before you confirm — never after. If the fee makes the order not worth it for you, that's a perfectly good reason to say no, and we won't be offended.
Collection
Collection can be arranged by appointment. Because we work from a home kitchen, collection is strictly by prior arrangement — please don't arrive without a confirmed time, as there may be no one available and your order may not be ready.
The collection point and time will be confirmed on WhatsApp when you place your order.
Lead Times
Everything is made fresh to order — nothing is mass produced or kept in storage. That's what makes it taste the way it does, but it does mean we need notice.
- Mix boxes: usually a few days' notice. Ask us — if we have room, we'll fit you in.
- Single-variety trays: a few days' notice.
- Catering and functions: please give us as much notice as you can. Larger orders need proper planning.
- Weddings: book as early as possible. Wedding season fills up quickly.
- Festive periods (Diwali, Christmas, Eid): these are our busiest times. Order well in advance.
If you're unsure, just ask. Tell us your date and we'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it. We'd rather turn down an order than deliver something rushed.
Delivery Timing
We'll agree a delivery window with you when you order. Sweetmeats are delicate and heat-sensitive, so we plan deliveries to avoid leaving them standing — especially in Durban's summer.
Please make sure someone is available to receive the order, or let us know a safe place in advance. Once delivered as agreed, we can't take responsibility for sweets left standing in the sun.
Packing
Orders are packed in a food-safe box suitable for transport and gifting. If your order is a gift or a hamper, tell us — we'll pack it accordingly. Gift wrapping is available on request; ask about it when you order.
Storage Once You Have It
Our sweetmeats are made with butter or ghee, with no artificial preservatives. That means they're best eaten fresh.
- Keep them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- They'll stay at their best for a few days; ghee-based sweets keep longer than butter-based ones.
- Refrigeration is not recommended for most varieties — it can change the texture.
- For events, tell us when you need them and we'll plan the timing with you.
If you're not sure how to store a particular sweet, ask us — we'd rather answer a question than have your order spoil.
